Vineyard work & care

Soil work

Deeply committed to the EMS (Environmental Management System) approach, we have chosen sustainable wine-growing, that is respectful of the environment. We work the soil using same techniques as in the past, reducing the use of chemical substances as much as possible.

In order to guarantee the good health of our soils, we actively limit the use of herbicides and we only exploit every other row of vines to facilitate the passage of machines.

Trimming

We favour manual labor for pruning, disbudding, trellising and leaf stripping. In order to increase the quality of our grapes, limit diseases, rot and therefore the use of chemicals, we practice authentic Bordeaux pruning technique whose advantage consist in better spacing between the bunches on the vine.

Harvest

A tasting carried out on the plot helps us determine the optimal picking date linked to the ripening of the fruits.

The harvest is carried out mechanically to harvest the grapes at the most opportune time and better control the production costs.
